November 16th, 2020:
There has never been a more important time to create healthier habits for yourself and those around you. We are being provided an intense and devastating wakeup call regarding our individual and collective health. Massive studies are coming out showcasing how a compromised immune system is one of the key catalysts in mortality due to coronavirus, as well as the degree to which one has to endure intense symptoms.
This reality was the driving force behind putting together a healthy holiday spread! There is no better snapshot of our culture of unhealthy eating, overindulgence and gluttony then holidays in America (and many other places). It is our hope, that we can help support you in recognizing the issues that this cultural norm represents, and help guide you toward dishes and eating practices that will support a healthier you, while providing you with all of the same delicious flavor profiles and stunning dishes you come to expect this time of the year.
Below you will find a wide variety of recipes that promote a nutrient-dense, locally sourced, plant-forward holiday spread for you and your loved ones. We have structured our recipes in a somewhat unique fashion, be sure to check out our recipe philosophy page to understand our approach and how we encourage local eating and food as medicine principles through our recipe design.
We will be continuing to add more recipes, nutritional information and content to this page in the coming days!
