Our health begins in the soil.
My Philosophy & Approach to Culinary
I believe food is more than just fuel…it’s medicine, connection, and the foundation of our health and the planet’s well-being. My philosophy is simple: healthy soil = healthy food = healthy people.
For most of human history, food was at the center of our lives. But in the last century, industrialized agriculture has disconnected us from the land, stripping our soil of nutrients and leading to a rise in chronic disease. We’ve prioritized mass production over quality, convenience over connection, and we’re paying the price.
The good news? Nature already has the solution. By embracing regenerative food systems, we can rebuild soil health, restore nutrition, and strengthen our communities—starting with what’s on our plates.
That’s why at Planted Cuisine, I am committed to:
Sourcing locally – I aim for 90-95% of my ingredients to come from local producers.
Supporting regenerative/soil based farming – Choosing ingredients that heal, not harm.
Creating food that nourishes – Prioritizing nutrient density, flavor, and integrity.
Elevating food consciousness – Helping you connect with what’s on your plate and why it matters.
This isn’t just about making great meals, it’s about shifting the way we think about food. When we prioritize ingredients grown in healthy soil, we don’t just eat better…we feel better, think clearer, and live more vibrantly.
My goal is to help you experience food in a way that’s deeply nourishing, both physically and emotionally. Let’s rebuild our connection to food, one meal at a time.

““It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.””
